GENERAL LITERATURE AND SCIENCE 57 SCHOLARSHIPS Good conduct and competent knowledge of such subjects in Divinity as shall be previously fixed upon are indispensable for the admission of any Student or Pupil to be Candidate for Scholarship in this College Every Scholarship is held subject to forfeiture for mis- conduct In case there should be no candidate of sufficient merit in any year the Scholarship of that year will not be awarded One of Ā£30 in each year This Scholarship is open to all Matriculated Students of this Department who have completed three Terms as well as to all Students who have left the College or who have become Associates at the close of the Easter Term preceding each examination The next Examination will take lace on Thurs- day October 19th 1818 in the following subjects The Historical Books of the Old Testament with Blunt's Undesigned incidences The Acts of the Apostles in Greek Butler's Sermons II III XIII XIV The Book of Jonah in Hebrew Hooker Books and II The Book of Common Prayer The Names of all Candidates must be sent to the Principal before three o'clock on Thursday 5th October next after which hour no name will be received No Student can be elected to this Scholarship more than twice The following will be the subjects for this Examination in October 1849 Students of the Medical Department and of the Department of Applied Sciences have the option of bringing up the Book of Jonah in German instead of in Hebrew
