Μ EDICAL DEPARTMENT 121 The Dean 01'the Medical Department presides at all viva voce examinations The physicians surgeons and assistant-surgeons shall receive notice from the Secretary of the Hospital of the day and hour appointed for any examination and their presence is particularly requested at the examination of physicians' assistant and house surgeon Special certificates will be given to each Student who shall have filled any of the above offices to the satisfaction of the medical officers under whom he may have served Application for such certificates must be made to the Secretary of the Hospital No Student shall receive certificate who has not attended regularly during the entire six months of his appointment nor shall any certificate be granted without the sanction of the medical officers under whom he has served Candidates are required to write fair and legible hand Out-Patient Clinical Clerks -There shall be four Out-Patient Clinical Clerks two for the physician to out-patients and two for the physician accoucheur they shall be matriculated students and shall have diligently attended six months' medical prac- ן tice The examination shall be pass examination and shall be in anatomy of the viscera materia medica and the practice of medicine In the case of the physician accoucheur's clerks the practice of medicine required shall have relation chiefly to the diseases of women and children The examination in נ anatomy to be viva voce-in the other subjects written They shall serve for six months and shall attend regularly at the ρ respective hours and on the days of the physician under whom they are appointed They shall register the out-patients under the direction of their respective physicians and take Β care that the dressing &c ordered by them is performed In the absence from illness of any Out-Patient Clinical Clerk his II place shall be supplied by candidate who has passed the examination or failing any such by some student approved by the physicians In-Patient Clinical Clerks -There shall be four In-Patient Clinical Clerks two for each physician Candidates shall have
