84 MEDICAL DEPARTMENT Student will certainly derive great advantage from extending the term to four years and thus diminishing the number of Courses which he is required to attend in any one Session The following is the order in which Students are advised to attend the several Courses of Lectures given in the College First Winter Session Descriptive Anatomy General Anatomy and practical Physiolo-y Anatomy Practice of the Hospital and Clinical Lectures Physiology Chemistry First Summer Botany Session Chemical Manipulation Descriptive Anatomy Practical Second Winter General Anatomy and I1 rat cal Session Physiology Anatomy Materia Medica and Therapeutics Second Summerjp Pharn1acy Session τ ν λ זזי Medicine SessonT 6Τ Session Midwifery Third Summer Forensic Medicine Session Practical Midwifery τ ז ז ί Medicine Session Sur session 11 Midwifery Fourth Summer Comparative Anatomy Session י The Student during the last two years should avail himself of every opportunity afforded him of keeping up good knowledge of Anatomy by Dissection The Students are earnestly recommended to attend the Weekly Examinations in the several Classes and also to avail themselves of the assistance of the Medical Tutor If the Student be desirous of accomplishing in three years the amount of attendance required by the College of Surgeons The regulations of the University of London and of the Medical Boards of the Army and Navy require certificates of having practised the manipulations of Chemistry Students who intend to graduate in the University of London are recom- mended to attend second Course of Chemistry in this Session Students who have not served an apprenticeship are recommended to attend two courses of Materia Medica and Therapeutics The University of London requires candidates for the degree of to produce certificate of having dissected during this session Students attending the Lectures on Forensic Medicine are recommended to avail themselves of the facility which will be att'orded to them at this period of practising the application of tests for poisons under proper direction 11 Candidates for the degree of in the University of London are recom- mended to attend course of Lectures on General Anatomy and Physiology and on Comparative Anatomy in the previous Winter or in this Summer Session
