medical department 83 the close of each Session certificates of attendance on the Lectures will he prepared for each Student who is entitled to receive them Students are requested to give in their Schedules to the Dean as soon as they procure them from the Hall and the College At the end of each Winter Session the Professors will lay before the Principal the names of such Medical Students as shall have studied four years in the manner advised by the Professors whom they can recommend to be placed in the class of Associates of King's College for their general good conduct regularity of attendance at the classes in the College and at the Hospital and professional attainments For the attainment of this distinction regularity of attendance at Chapel and at the Principal's Divinity Lectures is indispensable See page 149 for the privileges of an Associate The Medical Library is open daily to all Students of this Department for the purposes of study see page 90 they also have the use of the General Library see page 140 limited number of Students are admitted to reside within the College see page 141 There is Dining Hall in the Col- lege for the accommodation of Resident and other Students of the College see page 143 Section III course of education recommended to the Medical Students ly the Professors of King's College The Medical Professors of King's College sensible of the difficulties which beset the Student at the commencement of his career propose the following Course for his guidance in the prosecution of his studies The Professors strongly recommend that four years should be spent in attending the various Courses of Medical Lectures in the College Although period of three years has been found sufficient to accomplish the attendance on the Courses prescribed by some of the Medical Corporations yet the
