ΙΟΊ MEDICAL DEPARTMENT Applications for membership are to be addressed to the Secretaries of the Medical Society of King's College by whom they will be announced at the next ordinary meeting Mem- bers are elected by ballot after having been proposed and seconded There is prize of the value of five pounds annually pro sented to that member who has read the best essay during the session There is an Honorary Certificate annually י presented to the member who has most distinguished himself in discussion during the session The Society also annually gives prize of five pounds for the best essay on subject to be chosen by the Dean of the Medical Department of King's College London These prizes are awarded at the close of the Wiuter Session the last by two of the Medical professors of King's College London selected by the Council of the Society the two former by the judgment of the members taken by ballot at the aunual general meeting Neither of these prizes is awarded to any member who has previously obtained the same prize or who has completed his fourth year of study at any College or Medical School or who has not been member of this Society for at least four months The subscription is five shillings annually for students of any Medical School or College but those members who art not students pay an annual subscription of ten shillings anci sixpence Section XL The Names of those who have been elected Prizemen on the Leathes Endowment 1833 William Harris Leacock Edward Tweddell Atkinson 1834 Henry Lee George Redsull Carter 1835 Valentine Dennis John Pa gin White Taylor
