02 medical DEPARTMENT There are two Prizes the first consisting of medal of the value often pounds and books of the value of fifteen pounds ן the second consisting of medal of the value of five pounds and books of the value of ten pounds The Candidates for these Prizes are examined in-1 The Holy Scriptures Butler's Analogy Two of the branches of Medical Science taught in the College to be selected by the Candidates want of sufficient knowledge in the Theological part will disqualify for examination in the Medical No Student can become Candidate for either of these Prizes who has not regularly attended the daily service of the College Chapel and also the Divinity Lectures nor any who has exceeded his fourth year of attendance at the Medical Lectures of the College Nor can any Student who has obtained the first Prize in one year be Candidate in any subsequent year The next Examination will take place on Friday and Saturday October 15 and 10 1847 on the first day in Theology on the second day in the two branches of Medical Science The names of all Candidates must be given in to the Prin- cipal before one o'clock on Thursday October after which no name will be received The following will be the subjects of the first day's Examination First and Second Books of Kings Gospel according to St Matthew Butler's Analogy -1 Of future Life Of state of Probation as intended for moral discipline and improvement Of the opinion of necessity considered as intlu- encing practice
