med cal department 81 Skction VI museums Curator-W Masters Esq Open daily to Medical Students from ten to four The Museums consist of Collections of objects illustrative of every department of Anatomy Human and Comparative Healthy and Morbid of Materia Medica Chemistry Mine- ralogy Geology Botany and other branches of Natural History The Collection of Human Anatomy comprises consider- able number of wet reparations models and casts presented by the late Dr Hooper and II Green Esq and has been considerably enriched by additions from the several Professors of the College The Collections of Comparative Anatomy include several excellent skeletons of which the most remarkable are young Elephant and two Indian Deer of different kinds Among the wet preparations are many highly interesting dissections elucidating the minute anatomy of insects and other of the lower tribes as well as preparations of the various organs of the higher animals The Materia Medica and Chemical Collections are very com- plete large assortment of drugs having been presented by the Worshipful Company of Apothecaries and by the late Sir Halford Bart The Collections of Mineralogy and Geology are extensive and contain examples of the different formations including relation of the most characteristic fossils belonging to each The Botanical Collections are especially rich and among them will be found Rottler's Indian Herbarium which has been considerably enlarged bv additions from Dr Rovle and Dr Wallich There are also other Collections which it is intended to arrange as far as possible in geographical series with these Collection of the most curious Fruits and Seeds has been joined
